Management/Consultant Profiles

Ernfred (Ernie) Olsen is Managing Partner at OCC K.K., an advisory and consulting firm he established in 2009.  Most recently as Country Executive, he led the restructuring of the Japan operations of Royal Bank of Scotland.  Previously he founded New City Mortgage in 2005, an online residential mortgage lender based in Tokyo, Japan providing a nationwide lending service for owner-occupied and investment residential properties.  For 5 years prior to this, Ernie held several positions at Shinsei Bank, specializing in securitization and a range of consumer finance products.  He established and led the non-bank finance group at Shinsei, consolidating management and acquisition activities of firms in the residential mortgage, property finance, installment sales finance, small business finance and consumer finance fields.  Earlier he had arranged Shinsei's award winning CLO Program, and then headed the Asset Backed Securitization Team.  For 3 years Ernie served on the Board of Directors of a first section TSE-listed consumer finance firm.  Prior to Shinsei, he established the Japan operations for Financial Security Assurance, and managed the joint venture with Tokio Fire and Marine in Tokyo.  Ernie is a graduate of the Credit Training Program at Chase, and has been a commercial bank officer covering Financial Institutions and Large Corporations, a securities salesman in Tokyo and New York, and a Corporate Finance banker covering the full spectrum of products in this field, with a specialization in asset finance and securitization.

Gaetan BorgersInternational Executive with 25 years of general management experience focused on business growth, Mr. Borgers has developed a strong track record in delivering new business in the Solar Industry for 15 years. Critical to his success has been his ability to lead large, multifunctional teams, to negotiate complex deals in all regions of the world, and to understand the business drivers in specific markets. He has a unique experience in the Solar Industry having held leadership roles in all the steps of the value chain. His experience ranges from the Solar feedstock business with Dow Corning, the sale of solar modules and solar power plants with Soitec, and the debt and equity raising for utility scale solar projects with Emirates Capital. One of his recent achievement was the raise of the first bond ($100million) for a Renewable project in Africa.

Mr. Borgers has broad international experience, having lived and worked in Europe, the USA, and Japan. He held positions in the executive committee of Soitec and Emirates Capital. He was a board member of Infinite Power Solution, a battery start-up based in Denver , Colorado.
